VENEZUELA CHANGES REQUIREMENTS, February 1, 2007
Please note that as of February 1, 2007 an invitation from the host is required. As of Sept. 1, 2006, you will have to submit a police report and other new documents for a Venezuelan visa. Please download our new requirements and application forms for Venezuela.

PASSPORTS REQUIRED FOR ALL TRAVEL
Anyone entering the US from South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda MUST have a passport as of 12/31/05. Anyone entering the US from Mexico and Canada MUST have a passport as of 12/31/2006, and anyone entering the USA from all air, sea and land border crossings will have to have a passport as of 12/31/2007. Get your passport early. There will be long lines and long processing times because of this new law.

ALGERIA REQUIRES FORMS TO BE DOWNLOADED, FEB, 2005
All Algerian application forms MUST be completed on line, printed out and then signed. The consulate will not accept forms in any other way. Algeria web address is: www.algeria-us.org

ANGOLA WORK VISAS
Angola immigration is strictly enforcing their rules for people coming into the country to work. Do not go into Angola to work with a two-year, business visa. For work visa requirements download from our website. But plan ahead. It takes about 3 months to get approval for work visas.

Did you know that your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond your date of travel?

Your passport must be signed to be valid and most consulates will not put a visa in a passport until it is signed.

Some consulates will ask for two blank pages side by side before they will issue visa. Others will only issue visas on the right side of the passport. Visas cannot be issued on the "endorsements" pages in the back of your passport. So be sure to have several blank pages in your passport before applying for a visa.

Keep a copy of your passport in a safe place in case your passport gets lost or stolen.
